About our Presenter:

Deanna Knighton currently serves as the Assistant Director, Career Development at Duke University in the Nicholas School of the Environment and has done so since 2019. She is a member of NCDA and has been a member of the North Carolina CDA since 2014, with prior roles as President, President-Elect, Past-President, Membership Co-Chair, and Secretary. She has served on proposal review committees for three professional organization’s conferences for multiple years, including as this year’s NCDA Conference Program Chair. Her past work includes experience in a nonprofit, K-12, community colleges, partnering with workforce development, and internationally. She is a recipient of the NCDA President’s Award and earned her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University and both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Florida. Deanna is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator.
