FCD Training for WCDA Members

WCDA is sponsoring a FCD (Facilitating Career Development) training course. Twenty-four hours of face-to-face instruction will be provided virtually to complete requirements for the FCD Certificate of Completion.  Download Dec 14 information session slides here.

The course consists of 90-minute weekly Wednesday evening classes (16 to 18 weeks) beginning January 25 at 7 pm PT.  

This course covers the 12 NCDA competencies, primary skills and knowledge important for career development practitioners. Completion of the course fulfills training requirements for GCDF (CCE)and CCSP (NCDA) certification as well as providing preparation for the assessment portion for other NCDA credentials.

NCDA certified FCD instructors are required to charge at least $975 for the course. However, because of this one-time agreement with WCDA, the price will be $475 for WCDA members only, a nearly 50% discount (and new members are welcomed!). Cancellations are allowed until January 18 (7 days prior).

Get Started

1. Sign up as a WCDA member if you are not already one. The type of membership doesn't matter but we recommend the discounted Auto Renew ($25). It's easy to forget to renew; we stay stronger with your support.
2. Register for the course. If you are part of a group (3 or more registering from 1 organization, you can get an instructor approved discount of an additional $25 off).  Ask your employer or organization to publicize this once in a blue moon opportunity. :)
3. Participants are also required to purchase a copy of Facilitating Career Development, Student Manual, Revised 4^th Edition through NCDA (currently $275 at https://ncda.org/aws/NCDA/pt/sp/store ) prior to the beginning of the course.
